Capri is a beautiful island in Italy. It is a very well known tourist destination. It is a small island and a popular tourist destination. The blue waters and the colorful rocky edges of the island can take your breath away
How to go to Capri Island?
You can take a ferry from either Naples, Sorronto or Ischia. I had traveled from Naples to Capri. So I will be giving you the details on how to go to Capri from Naples. I suggest that you take the first ferry and reach Capri. You will need atleast one full day to see Capri.
Metro Line 2 stop at Montesanto or Mergellina. Take a ferry from here. Molo beverelo port. Around € 17.0
Please call up the ferry company and find out the ferry timings and the port. When I had gone, one of the ports was closed. Luckily, some friendly Italian lady had informed me that it is closed, so in the morning I didn’t panic!
Also, another advice if yo are a budget traveler then have your breakfast at Naples as its cheaper than Capri.
Tourist Information in Capri
The tourist information can be found directly opposite to the Marina Grande port where you get down at Capri. You get the Capri map’s here for € 2 and its worth having the map with you.
Buy a day ticket in Capri, as it will help you to easily board funicular and buses for the whole day. The cost for day ticket is €8.5
Places to see in Capri
Blue Grotto or Grotta Azzurra
Reach here as early as possible, so that you don’t have to wait in a queue. When you get down from the bus, you’ll see a long stairway below, and a number of small boats waiting for passengers on the deep blue see
Blue Grotto is the most amazing once in a lifetime experience. It is a small cave opening in the blue sea. When you are inside the Grotto, everything appears blue because of the light reflection. Its a must see! The ticket for grotto entrance costs around €15 per person
How to reach Blue Grotto or Grotta azzurra
The ferry stop where you arrive is called Marina Grande. From here you can take direct boat trips to Blue Grotto and other famous destinations. Or you can reach Blue Grotto by Public transport of Capri.
Take the funicolare (cable railway) to Capri. Then, take the bus to Anacapri. From Anacapri take another bus to “Grotta azzurra”.
It is a rocky beach in Capri. It has a lighthouse too!! You can sit and relax here or sun bath.
How to reach Faro Punta beach?
It takes around 10 minutes by bus from Ana Capri
The view of Capri and the nearby islands is beautiful from Monte Solaro and worth the price!
How to reach Monte Solaro?
You have to take a chair lift from Anacapri to reach here. I think the chair lift ticket cost is not included in the one day pass.
I have not seen a more beautiful sight than this one! Its a rock formation in the form of an arch, and below you can see the deep blue see. It is so pleasing to the eye. It’s a must see in Capri.
How to reach Arco Naturale?
You will have to follow a hiking trail starting from Capri Piazzetta. There are sign boards everywhere and its easy to find it!!
